Custom Function

Captisa Form supports Custom Functions, or user-defined functions. Custom functions are created using standard JavaScript. If you are new to JavaScript, Codecademy offers a great course for beginners. (Note: this course wasn’t developed by and isn’t associated with Captisa Forms.)

Getting Started

Below is an example to compute age based on birthdate field

1. Select Set Field Value.

2. Select target field.

3. Select formula.

4. Click on ‘X2’ button

5. Double click on ‘Birthdate’

6. Option. Define Birthdate value. This is helpful to validate custom function and show the result

7. Define custom function. You can use JavaScript

8. Click check button to validate formula

9. Result
